Peter's first contact with Coast FM was in the late 1990's when he arranged a contra deal for his gardening business in return for office cleaning duties.

He became involved with phone duties for Garry Beaumont's Country Program. He was taught how to operate the panel and Marj Weeks helped him with his presentation skills.

Meroli has been involved with Coast FM since 1991. She answered the phones and handled the requests for Garry Beaumont. Garry taught her the ropes and gave her a "spot" on his Country Show so she could feature Tasmanian artists which she still does today.

In about 1997 Meroli took a 12 month break and Peter Wicks filled in for her.

PETER and MEROLI later fell in love and married and now present "Sunday Night Country" every three out of four Sundays from 7pm to 11pm.
